Lies... A quite general phenomenon in today's life. Most of us live in a web of lies. A single lie persuades us to lie further 'virtually' making life easier and simpler. The effect of this recurrence of lies could not be felt so easily. Infact, it is very very tough to get out of this web of lies. We are struck, like an insect in the spider's web. The actual brutality of a lie can only be felt when one tries to come out of the web of lies. Though one is rightful in trying to come out of it, not many things go right. Relations are at stake, emotions are taken for a toss, calculations and manipulations may go wrong, life seems to be like hell. But, once we are out of it, passing through all the phases of li(f)e's brutality at that juncture, we are at peace, the real peace. Not many issues bother us if we are truthful to ourselves. Lies are like angels like demons whose brutality is often unpredictable, unexplainable and at times unbearable. But, truth is peace-giving and peace-growing.
Lie is brutal, because it serves the temporal cause, but creates a more larger problem in future. Truth is innocent as it never tends to keep the problems for the future. One of my teachers used to say, " Speak the truth, so that you need not remember what you spoke". So, let us try and be truthful as far as possible accepting the fact that speaking truth requires courage, confidence and conscience.

In this context , i would like to quote "Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons. The truth always wins it". Truth hurts like a horn at first but in the end it blossoms like a rose...
ReplyDeleteAs you quoted truth is peace giving and peace growing, yes its true that a man/woman speakin truth is always at ease..
and as Gandhi said
"Truth is by nature self-evident, as soon as you remove the cobwebs of ignorance that surround it, it shines clear."
